This model is named "Cattan", a Scottish clan the chieftain of which was known as The Great Wild Cat.
The CATTAN is made to be robust and long-lasting, with my very special Madagascan 12mm sisal rope which is the best your cat will ever get its claws into. It is fixed to the pole all the way up and will never, ever unravel. The base is wide enough to prevent it from being pulled over.
It comes in two pieces and screws together in 30 seconds flat without the need for tools.
The sisal rope I use is really good. It's light in colour, dense, heavy, tough, "un-hairy", non-toxic, and produces very little debris when scratched. The base has eight rubber pads so that it will not start off over one side of the room and end up at the other.
